WE take note of the latest remarks by Datuk Salleh Said Keruak regarding the need for a new “power-sharing formula” within Barisan Nasional and his warning that no party should act like a “big brother” in any coalition. While his concerns are valid, they also highlight a fundamental problem that Sabahans have grown tired of: coalition politics driven by race-based bargaining and internal one-upmanship.

The reality is this — Sabah doesn’t need more “formulas” to appease competing race-based parties. What we need is a unified, multiracial, and competent party that represents all Sabahans equally, without dividing the rakyat along ethnic or religious lines. That is precisely what Warisan offers.

Warisan is not a coalition stitched together by fragile compromises or backdoor deals. Warisan is a single, inclusive party that believes governance should be based on merit, integrity, and service to the people — not race quotas or religious posturing.

The old model of governance — where political survival depends on constant negotiations between race-based parties — has failed Sabah. It has led to instability, corruption, and policy paralysis. When one coalition partner starts behaving like a “big brother,” the rakyat suffer while politicians bicker over positions.

Let us be clear:

Good governance is not a race issue.

Integrity has no religion.

Sabah’s progress cannot be built on political accommodation, but on leadership with vision, discipline, and courage.

It is time for Sabah to move beyond coalitions that divide and towards a political future that unites. Warisan remains committed to that vision.

Reset Sabah!  Tolak Parti Malaya! Tolak Parti Rasuah!
