Malay writer lambasts at the cocooned life of his fellow spoilt Malays

Syed Akbar Ali with Dr Mahathir Mohamad

By Syed Akbar Ali
FOR the past 40 years or more the Malays have been cocooned away from the real world. A friend who used to be Chairman of a very large Malay corporation that survived almost completely on government handout projects and concessions said that the skill sets and the work ethics inside his organisation "have nothing to do" with the real world outside.

The entire Malay ecosystem was carefully nurtured to keep them away from mixing with the real world. Be it in business, education, social interactions, RELIGION, politics, language, sports, art and just about anything human beings do everyday.

The common theme in all these areas of "endeavour" were lower standards. Lower the bar.

For over 40 years the Malays have been dumbing down - at a time when the other non Malay communities have been making better strides and when other countries have been making giant strides.

Vietnam has announced that they will be manufacturing their own car the Vinfast. But it is a private sector effort with no taxpayers funds involved. The CEO and top managers are American, ex General Motors. The Vietnamese have already displayed the car at the Paris Auto Show.

Hiring American CEOs, displaying their cars in Paris - what does that mean? The Vietnamese are seeking out the outside world and saying "We are coming to join you". And they are doing this without taxpayer funding - meaning it is market driven.

In Malaysia we went the other way. We wanted to develop our country 'in our own mould'. This was a misnomer. What it really meant was 'We want to develop the Malays in their own mould'.

The mould had a very simple design. It was an all encompassing Malay / Muslim cocoon. No other light, sound, smells, taste and even fresh air could get into the Malay / Muslim cocoon from the outside. This has been going on for over 40 years.

The others, especially the Chinese and some Indians (not all) did not want to be part of this cocoon system. They have been clever and more fortunate. From very early on the Chinese caught on that the national education system will be going into the cocoon mode. Hence they invested heavily in their own education ecosystems.

They have held on tightly to the 1300 Chinese language primary schools in the country. And it has been successful. When compared to the government's "cocoon system" Chinese education has been much more successful in that they produce young people who can become productive citizens in the economy.
Since the beginning of time, there are only 61 Chinese language secondary schools in Malaysia ("independent" Chinese schools offering the UEC certificate). Which has always been politicised.

But there are bigger elephants than independent Chinese schools being born everyday. For example the Chinese have gone big into private schools which offer the O and A levels, etc. They are known as "international schools". There are now a sizeable number of these "private international schools" in Malaysia offering primary to secondary level school education. Many of these schools are run by the Chinese folks. The majority of the students, teachers and principals at these private schools are all Chinese. They are doing a good job, serving the country's needs quite well. Non-cocoon education system.

There is another huge side effect to this "Malay / Muslim cocoon". Which is what I want to talk about today. And that is about leadership.
Anywhere in the world, in any system of government whether a democracy, monarchy, communist dictatorship, socialist dictatorship, authoritarianism, Islamic theocracy, Hindu monarchy etc the leaders and the leadership WILL and MUST reflect the value system of the people or the society in that country.

1. Societies that are prone to violence and do not do much to curb anger and violence will produce leaders who will rely on violence to rule. Because that is what they understand.
2. Societies that do not like to listen to different points of view (especially about religion) will produce religious charlatans who will exploit the "no thinking zone".
3. Societies that have cocooned themselves away from the outside world or from people other than their own kind will produce leaders who will manipulate their "fears of the outside". This is NO rocket science.
4. Societies that do not compete will produce leaders who will frighten them with the "dangers of competition".

I can keep on going but the leaders of any society will and must reflect what goes on inside their own society.

Their leaders will and must be fully soaked to the skin and bone with that society's norms and value systems.

Kalau value system bagus, pemimpin pun bagus. Kalau value system tak bagus, pemimpin pun tak bagus.

They might have been born cerdik but they will never become pandai. Cerdik is the intelligence that you are born with. Pandai is the learning that you acquire.

In a cocooned environment, their cerdik people grow up to be 'tidak pandai' leaders. Because they have been denied an environment where they can compete and learn. They grew up inside a cocoon.

So can we expect 40 years of cocoon indoctrination to produce 'world class' ledership? Not likely.

Look at this screen grab here. Its an old Tanzanian folk tale. There was a flood and the river overflowed. The fish were swept into the submerged grass. A group of monkeys decided to "save" the fish. They picked up the fish carefully and placed the fish on high, dry ground.

This is what we are seeing in Malay society today. After over 40 years of being cocooned and growing up in a religious and racial slum, where ALL the standards have been lowered, we are now seeing their leaders who exactly reflect the lower standards of Malay / Muslim society.

This is the nail in the coffin. After 40 years of the airtight and watertight cocoon, now they really and honestly think that the rest of the world outside the cocoon is wrong. That indeed life inside their cocoon is the best in the world.

Their religion is the best despite its violence, hate, ignorance and poverty.

Their social norms are simply the best despite very strange aberrations in behaviour and the looming breakdowns in Malay society. (This is a very serious issue - please do not dismiss this lightly.)

They can ignore everything else (and even despise everything else) because it is outside their cocoon. Those who do not agree 'can leave the country'.

So you see the miserably failing Minister of Education Maszlee saying unbelievably dumb things like the "Chinese should watch Upin and Ipin to learn Malay". This is too stupid to even comment about.

In Port Dickson, the Brader spoke about using his own car to send his daughter to the university. That is all he has to offer. There is not much else going on inside his cocoon.
Rafizi kept playing up personal issues (where is your dasar / vision bro?)

By the way, can Rafizi show some audited accounts for all the money collected by Invoke? Some transparency would be good brader Rafizi. Talk is you have some difficulty showing an audit of what happened to all that money you collected.

Asyraf Wajdi once said (I was present) that Islamic banking can still function because the Malays do not know High Court Judge Justice Abdul Wahab Patail's ruling "against" Islamic banking.

Asyraf Wajdi has also just lost the elections. Their collective incompetence has seen UMNO being kicked out of government after 63 years.
And the religious cocoon Pis-Pus guys are kissing up to the Malay cocoon UMNO guys. As you can see in this montage:
At our government hospitals, water is leaking into the oxygen lines in the wards.
In government departments the cafeteria is still the center of the universe - not the work desk.

Soon after being appointed, the new Mayor of Kuala Lumpur visited the hawkers (warong folks). To show solidarity? The tikus population in Kuala Lumpur will certainly rejoice. They will continue enjoying the endless supply of food scraps thrown into the longkangs and the drains by the warong hawkers. Indonesian warong operators will also be very happy.
Government "seminars" / conferences still begin with long winded introductions, 10 am pisang goreng breaks, 12 pm lunch breaks and 3 pm curry puff breaks.

So how does the cocoon deal with these obvious failures, the obvious non performance and the increasing criticism?
Thats easy. Just shout louder, make more threats, show more anger, the so called tough language. More racist and religious posturing. Its just sad camouflage, a weak cover up for the cocoon's failure.

I strongly and firmly believe the Malays can be turned around. In about 15 years max.
Before that can happen, we must crack that cocoon.

Dibuang kerja kerana pakai rantai salib, apa mahu jadi dengan Malaysia?

Oleh Kanul Gindol, 20-11-2023

                 Prof Dr Ariffin Willie Muhamad

Borneo and Malaysia history free of Malay politics

World has true history of Borneo and Malaysia free of Malay politics in university libraries!

https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2021/04/12/expert-slams-history-textbook-for-errors-pro-malay-bias/

The Borneo Territory of Sabah and Sarawak ought to teach their own unique histories including MA63 in school instead of the intentionally distorted Malay-Muslim centric history.

Malaysian history, written by the gov't, isn't history but political propaganda of the worst kind like that promoted by Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Imperial Japan and South Africa under Apartheid.

AG will have to reply on Bahasa Kebangsaan.

He should preferably consult DBP for subject matter expert opinion on Malay language.

Indonesia's Opinion correct in linguistics and law.

Malaysian gov't opinion on Malay language is just political propaganda of the worst kind.

Mahathir's opinion that non-Malay be classified as Malay isn't correct under Article 160(2).

Malay isn't ethnicity but form of identity in S'pore and Malaya for Muslim domiciled or born in the two territories, by Merdeka 31 TV Aug 1957, and habitually speaking in the Malay language.

Integration and assimilation in Malaysia does not depend on non-Malay being classified as Malay.

Alteady there is blatant non' compliance on MA'63, the history book ought to be withdrawn and corrected, lest there  will be much disharmony among the various races in Malaysia and if not properly handled can cause civil unrest.

The people in Sabah and Sarawak may, caused by the wrong or misleading facts in the history book, demand exit from Malaysia more aggressively.

Sabahans and Sarawakians are now aware that Sabah and Sarawak has a right to seek exit from Malaysia peacefully like what Singapore did in 1965.#

Sabah, Sarawak better distance from Anwar's support of Hamas, warn Borneo top activists in support of each other's statements

PRESS STATEMENT
12 November 2023

DON'T LET THE BORNEO TERRITORY OF SABAH AND SARAWAK BECOME THE NEXT GAZA

Sarawakian activist Peter John Jaban is warning the Sarawak government to guard its
immigration autonomy carefully as Prime Minister Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim maintains his support for Hamas, just as SUHAKAM predicts a likely influx of refugees from Palestine. He is calling on the authorities to prioritise Sarawak’s demographic mix and social harmony, reminding them that the state has its own social issues to contend with before it seeks to  support the personal agenda of the Prime Minister.

Peter John said: “The whole world is horrified by what is happening to Palestinian civilians
caught up the conflict. Of course, Sarawakians feel keenly for all victims of war. Our Prime
Minister’s insistence in maintaining his support for Hamas, however, is a different matter.
Hamas is an Islamist, militant movement which is directly responsible for this phase of
conflict and for the killing of Israeli citizens, many of them young children or elderly. It also
openly supports the imposition of an Islamic Caliphate and has demonstrated that it is
prepared to use terrorism to further this.”

“Anwar’s continuing support for Hamas in particular suggests that there will be little attempt  or requirement to properly vet any asylum seekers from Palestine. This risks entry by radicalised and violent factions who could disturb the social fabric of moderate and multicultural Malaysia. This issue is all the more pressing in Sarawak, the only non-Muslim majority state in the country, also recently identified as one of the poorest states in the
Federation. This is why we are calling on the Sarawak government to stand firm in
controlling our borders.”

He went on to say: “Sarawak has already seen controversial Ustaz Abdul Somad Batubara
preach in Kuching earlier this year, despite him being refused entry from several other
countries, including Singapore. We have also seen our Deputy Premier earlier this year
claiming that the Madinah Charter would form a good basis for the constitution of a
multiracial, secular state. Sarawakians must guard carefully against radical influences. We
must learn from the experiences of our neighbouring Borneo state which has already
experienced massive demographic shifts over the last few decades.”

Any suggestion that Hamas members could gain asylum in Malaysia should be rejected,
especially by the Sarawak government. If their Arab neighbours continue to deny them
asylum, then what business does Malaysia have in going against global policy?

Regardless, if Anwar insists on isolating himself, Sarawak should not follow blindly. This is the reason we retained our immigration autonomy; so that we could retain our own character and individuality and protect our own economic development. Support for a terrorist organisation cannot be part of that.

Meanwhile in Kota Kinabalu, two of Peter's colleagues, Daniel John Jambun and Kanul Gindol issued their own statements supporting his call.

Daniel, the President of Borneo's Plight in Malaysia Foundation, fully supports Peter's warning to the GPS government and reminds the GRS government in Sabah to do the same by tightening the immigration laws.

"Sabah is already swarmed with illegal  immigrants from neighbouring countries squatting illegally in 543 colonies spread throughout the state.

"Any influx of refugees from Palestine will turn Sabah into a terrorist haven which would then be very hard to control as can be seen and felt now," stressed Daniel.

Kanul, in his short message of support said: "Borneo should not be allowed to be made the human and economic shields for Malaysia just because of the folly of one particular party supporting a condemned terrorist organisation."

Malaysia should end proxy government imposed on Sabah and Sarawak...

                          Voon Lee Shan

PROXY government facilitates Occupation, non-compliance on the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA'63), brought in internal colonisation policies, and made the Federal government look the other way on the Southeast Asia Sea!
                      Daniel John Jambun

By Voon Lee Shan, Daniel John Jambun and Kanul Gindol, 31-10-2023
THE statement by several Malay NGO, attacking Sabah and Sarawak NGO on the Palestine Solidarity Week in schools in Malaya, must be kept in perspective.

Palestine isn't the only occupied state in the world suffering human rights violations. There are other people as well, from Yemen to Syria, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, suffering under tyrannical rulers.

In law, Article 8 in Malaysia, there can be no discrimination. The Constitution cannot be seen as going against itself.

Politics and international conflicts must be kept out of schools.

It's an offence, under law, if even toy guns are carried by school children and teachers during Palestine Solidarity Week beginning Sun 29 Oct 2023. It's double standards if action isn't taken on the toy guns displayed in public.

The radicalisation of school children must stop. We are not sending our children to school to become terrorists in foreign conflicts.

Those who are itching for fight in the Gaza Strip should go there. Instead, they disrupt the peace and harmony in Malaysia.

Sabah and Sarawak, it must be stressed, have been occupied by Malaysia for 60 years.

Proxy government in Sabah and Sarawak facilitates Occupation, non-compliance on the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA'63), brought in internal colonisation policies, and made the Federal government look the other way on the Southeast Asia Sea. Malaysia should end proxy government imposed on Sabah and Sarawak.

Colonialism, a form of criminal enterprise for accumulating capital, has been outlawed by international law.

When the Sarawak government seized land from Iban in Balai Ringin, sometime in 1982/1983, and gave it to certain people in politics,  Adenan Satem was "racist" towards those who lost their land for no rhyme or reason.

Many can recall him inviting the Iban for "tea and sympathy". It reeked of unbridled "racism", xenophobia, prejudice and hate.

Adenan only stopped making "racist statements" when he became Chief Minister.

Again, the Sarawak government, like that in Sabah, is a proxy government run by local tyrants and control freaks with licence on corruption.

The AG, IGP, MACC and Bank Negara are all not functioning to expectations on people "deriving personal benefits" from bribery and corruption based on abuse of power, conflict of interest and criminal breach of trust.

The people of Sarawak have lost sovereignty to a small group, installed by the Federal government after ousting Stephen Kalong Ningkan in 1966.

The government in Sarawak has not changed since 1966. The First Past the Post System fell on undemocratic soil. In the absence of one to one, there are no run-offs. Many candidates are declared winners although they come in with less than 51 per cent of the votes counted. There's no consent of the governed, no legitimacy, no democracy, no sovereignty.

It's the duty of the international community and the Federal government to restore the sovereignty of the people of Sarawak.

Orang Asal (Original People) are the majority in Sarawak.

Christian forms about 62% per cent of the population in Sarawak.

Yet, they are being denied the right to rule their own country. The Orang Asal have lost so much NCR (native customary rights) land because NCR cases don't start at the Land Office.

The High Court has no jurisdiction, as the court of 1st instance, on NCR land cases.

The Orang Asal are losing NCR land in the superior court because many judges don't understand Land Office, NCR land, Adat and Native Court.

Malay, having no Adat except among Minangkabau from Sumatra in Negri Sembilan,  don't have NCR land. Malay reserve land is government reserve gazetted by the British on Orang Asli (aboriginal people) land in Malaya.

VERSI BAHASA MALAYSIA👇

Adenan hanya berhenti membuat "kempen rasis" apabila dia menjadi Ketua Menteri.

Kristian membentuk kira-kira 62% penduduk Sarawak.

Namun, mereka dinafikan hak untuk memerintah negara mereka sendiri. Orang Asal telah kehilangan banyak tanah.#

Mental health scare at Labuan mission school?

Daniel John Jambun, 27-10-2023
The Education Ministry should refer some teachers from Malaya and local students, reportedly experiencing mental health scare at Labuan's sole mission school, for evaluation at the nearest medical centre.

The medical evaluation will confirm, based on science, that the crucifixes placed at the mission school has no connection with the mental health scare experienced by some teachers and students. Apparently, those affected saw demons and wandering spirits and dancing lights.

The victims must have been suffering from depression, i.e. persistent feelings of sadness, before reaching the mental health scare stage.

Demons, which drive delusions, are signs of forms of mental illness induced by stress unleashed by the immune system. Stress causes chemical imbalances in the brain. There's medication which can restore the brain chemistry in as little as three days. The healing process in serious cases take much longer and may include being institutionalised.

It's the court that can order institutionalisation, based on subject matter expert opinion, at the nearest mental hospital.

Mental health isn't medical issue but legal term.

The court will consider whether the mentally ill poses danger for the public. In that case, institutionalisation of those affected keeps the public from harm. It also prevents self-harm, including suicide, and stabbing incidents.

There have been reports in the media, not so long ago, that the Education Ministry discovered that one in seven teachers in Malaysia suffered from some form of mental illness. We no longer hear about these teachers in the media. The Education Ministry should clear the air.

If true, these teachers should be relieved of teaching duties and assigned light duties, enrolled at day care centre, and placed under medical supervision.

Let's hope that the Education Ministry isn't dumping mentally ill teachers on Sabah, Labuan and Sarawak.

Again, it's unfortunate that incidents of mental health scare at the mission school has been linked with the crucifix placed in classrooms and at various spots in the school.

For those unfamiliar, the cross is just what it states and carries no body, while the crucifix carries the body of Jesus Christ, the Messiah for two billion people worldwide.

For what it's worth, there's no work in nothingness on the other side.

It's true that those who watch many exorcism or ghost movies see the crucifix playing the main role in chasing out evil spirits.

All this remains the stuff of fiction found only in movies. In real life, the crucifix remains in the mind of the faithful, or worn on a chain around the neck, but as a cross.

It's not the done thing that the senior teacher who was against the crucifixes being taken down, apparently temporarily, has been transferred on 24 hours notice.

The senior teacher has become victim of circumstances. She should be recalled, having spent most of her teaching life at the school.

Kesihatan mental bukanlah isu perubatan tetapi istilah undang-undang.

*Tafsir (interpretation) can bring Islam for compliance with the rule of law . . .*

*The rule of law, not Quran, is the basis of the Constitution!*

Islamic 'law' practices are not possible as the rule of law is the basis of the Constitution.

Islam is not law but based on the concept of sin. That's the same as Karma.

In Islam, sunnatullah means God's law on cause and effect i.e. Karma.

The Supreme Court of India has declared that syariah isn't law but based on a person's willingness to accept it.

It would be unconstitutional to impose syariah on anyone.

In jurisdiction, God isn't source in law.

Law must have source to have jurisdiction, authority and power.

The court of law is only about law.

The court of law isn't about ethics, moral values, civilisational values including that based on Islam, theology, sin, God, righteousness, justice or truth.

There's greater emphasis on the spirit of the law in the rule of law, the basis of the Constitution, albeit read with the letter of the law.

The letter of the law, by itself, isn't law at all. It's dictatorship, rule BY law, rule by Man, the law of the jungle where anything goes for acting with impunity.

There's no legitimacy in the letter of the law, by itself, no democracy, no consent of the governed, and there has been loss of sovereignty.

In the rule of law, the manner in which the accused was convicted comes first. Conviction can follow if it has been perfected in law for perfection in law.

There must be compliance with procedures, procedural fairness, due process, and compliance with the greater emphasis on the spirit of the law in the rule of law, the basis of the Constitution, albeit read with the letter of the law. The letter of the law, by itself, isn't law at all.

There's law, no law, and where there can be no law.

No law, no crime.

There must be law before crime.

Nullum crimen sine lege ( Latin for no crime without law), remains the principle in criminal law, national and international.

The principle is interchangeable with nullum poena sine lege (Latin for no punishment without law).

It isn't possible for anyone to know law.

Law, ultimately, remains the power of language, showing proof of wide reading, ability to think on law and like a lawyer, and ability to fathom how the other side and the judge would think and rule.

The judge is bound by what happens in court, the  parties are bound by pleadings.

The court is about closure. There can be no closure without out of court settlement or finality in litigation.

Law schools, offering only academic programmes, often say that "it's a bit of a mystery where lawyers get skills".

Law schools don't impart courtroom skills and skills for law practice. Academic programmes can only be used for teaching law.

Islam remains about the Tafsir (interpretation) concept in the Quran.

Islam needs Tafsir throughout the ages, from time to time, for progressive thought in keeping with the times. Otherwise, Islam degenerates into Political Islam i.e. a form of rotten politics.

Tafsir may bring Islam one day to the rule of law.

In that case, as in Saudi Arabia, syariah would be considered as based on customary practices and therefore having force of law like Adat.

Adat is the 1st law in international law.

The Constitution, being based on the ultimate political documents which set forth the governing institutions of state, has force of law.

The Constitution is based on the Federation of Malaya Agreement 1948, the Federation of Malaya Independence Act 1957 and the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA'63).

The governing institutions of state in Malaysia cannot be based only on 1948 and 1957. It must be based on 1963 as well.

There must be compliance on MA'63.

If MA63 was validly made, then there must be strict compliance with this international treaty.

Cakap Hajiji "IC Sabah" bukan keutamaan, mengecewakan, kata aktivis Sabah

Sekian.
