‘Musa must get Sabah an oil refinery’

Putrajaya's refusal to build an oil refinery
in Sabah could prove fatal to Barisan Nasional
going into the next general election.

KOTA KINABALU: Oil-rich Sabah, which houses the country’s poorest people, needs its own refinery and Chief Minister Musa Aman must convince the federal government to get Petronas to build such a facility.

This is the advise set out by Barisan Nasional Sabah coalition partner, Parti Bersatu Sabah.

Khairy says no to petrol hike

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin warned the government against raising RON95 petrol price as voters are now struggling to cope with escalating food prices.

The statement came following Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s hint yesterday of a possible hike in the basic grade fuel price as the government desperately aims to cut its hefty subsidy bills.

KUCHING: An 18-year-old SPM graduate yesterday expressed his disappointment with the Public Service Department (JPA) for reneging on its promise to award all straight-A+ students scholarships under the Program Ijazah Luar Negara.
