At a mine-site near Sangatta in East Kalimantan, a titanic crater yawns out of the ground, its nadir filled with brown slurry.

Looking across the hinterland from its southern ridge, a dust-scape stretches off towards the horizon, braided by dirt tracks and the giant dump trucks that traverse them. The distant drone of their two-storey engines fills the air. Ten minutes down the road lies another pit, and another.

Press Statement by
Mr Fredoline Edwin Lojingki

The way Dr Maximus Ongkili responded today to the issue of a neglected hardcore poor family in Kg Kandawayon, Matunggong being helped and exposed by the opposition PKR and the media is unacceptable. Maximus was being ungrateful and sore at problems being exposed in his constituency. And Maximus is displaying maximum arrogance by challenging an opposition leader to build even more houses for the poor in Kota Marudu.

Sabahans should rally behind SAPP

By Dullie Marie, June 6, 2011

I am totally in dismay by DAP assistant secretary, Junz Wong's statement. He should not twist my statements. In my previous statements I never ignore the existence of Pakatan Rakyat in Sabah.

It is proven by the fact on our willingness to set up a committee to reach a better understanding to fight BN on one to one basis. I am disappointed how Wong takes the advantage to twist the very fact of my statements. His statement just too cheap and I hope it is not one of those spins he had learnt from a leader like Lim Kit Siang. I firmly stated on my views Lim Kit Siang's statement is just too arrogant and it only to reflect his ego.

The dangers of the Charismatic movement

"Many call upon the Holy Spirit, My child, but the spirits they invoke are not from Heaven and the light. They come up fast from the abyss. Flee! Have no part of these gatherings, for they are not from the light. In time, My children, you will evidence the disasters that these gatherings provoke. Many who should know better have given themselves over to this diversion. You need not this diversion. My Son is always with you in the Eucharist.

The Lie Detector Clock

Yes Sabah is BN's fix-deposit, but not Sarawak and Peninsular

By Eleazar Zechariah
PRE-ELECTION ANALYSIS, KOTA KINABALU: If general election is held in July or August this year as many speculated, the opposition parties belief that they have a chance in Sabah, is nothing more than merely day-dreaming. Sabah, with 25 Parliamentary seats, again is set to be the ever safe "fix-deposit" for Barisan Nasional. This is a fact.

warns Sabahans to beware of Barisan Nasional which
is bent on moving towards extremism to perpetuate
its hold on power.

Ultimatum by DAP to SAPP showed arrogant attitude

KOTA KINABALU, May 29, 2011: SAPP President said he was surprised by the harsh way that DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang had attacked SAPP as being unrealistic and for the ultimatum that SAPP must join PR on the ground that only PR can beat BN.

"As a matter of fact, Sabah DAP chief, Jimmy Wong Sze Phin, had called and sms to invite me to the DAP harvest festival. In order to reciprocate, I invited Jimmy Wong as a guest to my house and we had a nice chat on politics" revealed Yong.

Why I left for our ‘poorer’ neighbour

Contrary to most Malaysians who work overseas, I chose a less popular destination. I have been based in Jakarta for the past year and a bit. Most people look down on Indonesia as the poorer neighbour, much like the way Singapore looks at us. However, after living here, there is much to like, and below are some of the reasons why I prefer life here and do not plan to return anytime soon:

Bukan Aset, Tetapi Parasit Dalam PBS

Saudara Pengarang,
