People's Petition to Acknowledge Housewives

RCI A Cover-Up to Absolve Wrong-Doers?

Kota Kinabalu:    “It is now clear that the Royal Commission of Inquiry on Illegal Immigrants in Sabah (RCI) was nothing more than a political gimmick for GE-13 to hoodwink Sabahans to vote Umno/BN and a manipulated cover-up to absolve the federal government, its leaders and the political party referred to in the RCI from Project IC " said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on release of the much delayed and much awaited RCI Report.

Even in releasing the RCI Report, the Chief Secretary to the Government deemed it fit to play politics, and taken log stock and barrel by the government-controlled media, that “Project IC” Did Not Exist” when it was clear that the RCI specifically made a finding that Project IC probably existed.

THE COUNTRY RULED BY MOSTLY MALAYS WILL REMAIN ROTTEN AND CORRUPTED

Mariam Mokhtar

If some of you think that this nation is in a mess, then blame the Malays because they are the problem. Malays know that Malaysia is not the land of gold and honey any longer. In these difficult times, they have become more aware of their surroundings; but one other person has noticed this sea-change in the Malays.

He is former Premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad. He knows that a thinking and independent Malay is detrimental to his legacy and creation- UMNO-Baru – and to the well-being of his family’s fortunes. Today’s self-aware Malay is Mahathir’s downfall.

NASA's first Orion test flight is the first step to a human mission to Mars

By Andrew Fazekas
IF all goes as planned Thursday, NASA will test its first built-for-humans space capsule since the Apollo moon missions four decades ago. Many in the space community believe this is the first step on the long road to finally get humans to Mars and beyond.

NASA’s unmanned Orion capsule will undergo its first test flight when it launches on a four and-half hour trip that will take it twice around Earth. It will flying out to 6,000 km from the surface of our planet – the farthest a spacecraft destined to carry astronauts has gone since we last went to the moon in 1972.

Corrupt officials, syndicates blamed for alleged 'Project IC'

KOTA KINABALU - Syndicates and individuals aided by corrupt officials spun a web to create a so-called "Project IC" in Sabah with a purported corrosive political agenda for monetary gains.

This was among various issues highlighted in a 368-page report by the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on immigrants in Sabah made public Wednesday.

The report, however, did not name any perpetrators or guilty parties as this was not within the commission's scope of duties, as stated in the terms of reference (TOR).

New party PAKAR supports Ghapur and Jeffrey against Seditious Act

By Ezra Haganez
KOTA KINABALU : Newly-registered Parti Kerjasama Rakyat (PAKAR) is in full support of the calls made by both Kalabakan MP, Abdul Ghapur Salleh, and STAR state chairman, Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, who seeked for the Federal to punish the perpetrators in the perennial illegal immigrants problems in Sabah.

The multi-racial party claimed this should be the Federal's focus rather than busily threatening those who called for Sabah and Sarawak rights to be restored.

Pessimism and Cowardice Will Not Lead Sabah Forward

Kota Kinabalu:    “Sabah needs leaders that are progressive and forward-thinking to lead Sabah towards progress and prosperity which will also contribute towards the advancement of the nation.   Leaders that are pessimistic and cowardice will not lead Sabah and the nation forward” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in response to statements looking down on Sabahans especially youths that are unaware of the history of the formation of Malaysia and would not be able to look after and safeguard Sabah.

The party that should be taught the true facts of history should be the federal government and the Ministry of Education so that the young in Malaysia are taught the true history not some twisted fact that Malaysia gained independence on 31 August 1957.

As for security, there is a hidden agenda to threaten Sabahans with misplaced threats and dependence on security on the federal government.  We even have a federal Minister saying Sabah is not safe for tourists resulting in cancellations of tourist bookings and slowdown for the tourism industry in Sabah.

Unlike many Sabahans, some leaders have gone weak probably due to their easy and sometimes luxurious life that they seem to have no fight left in them and simply surrender or give up when discussing about security for Sabah or merely repeating the official story-line from Putrajaya that Sabah cannot defend itself, only the federal government can.

They are merely giving excuses when the people on the ground are talking about being prepared to defend their homeland if Sabah is invaded by foreign forces or even if Sabah do indeed separate from a break-up of Malaysia due to non-compliance of the terms of the merger agreed in 1963.    And these people cut across all races and include all the multi-ethnic races in Sabah.

And Sabahans served with distinction during World War 2 with the allied forces from Britain, Australia, New Zealand and others.   There was also the Sabah Border Scouts who before being disbanded by the federal government, had secured Sabah’s borders much better than later federal security forces who allowed in illegals during their guard.   Such is the make-up of Sabahans if they are indeed called upon to defend their homeland.

And their further and lame excuse to look towards the federal security apparatus is misplaced confidence.

It is the very federal government and its leaders that failed to fulfil the promises and failed to provide the security to Sabah since 1963.   In fact, some of the security problems caused by insurgents in the Southern Philippines is caused by the Malaysian government through covert operations to fund, train and arm the insurgents.    Sabah was even used as a training ground and safe heaven.

Added to the problem was the wanton issuance of ICs and MyKads to foreigners even from as far as India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.    Many were issued ICs on the illegal basis that they were “born” again in Sabah when they were not.  It was a common story repeated and repeated again at the RCI hearings last year.

The purported claims of the Sulus and the Kiram descendants will not go away whether Sabah is part of Malaysia or independent on its own.   The purported claims will also not be settled by military means and their claims are not helped by conflicting internal disputes even amongst families.  Even Umno Sabah members are claiming to be the “Sultan of Sulu”.

The federal government and past leaders are the culprits of the insecurity problem in Sabah.  “How can we rely on the federal government to provide security” queried Dr. Jeffrey.

ATTACKED FROM M'SIA! Foreign websites detailing Taib's alleged CORRUPTION downed

The Malaysian government hacked into websites that carried reports on the book ‘Money Logging: On the Trail of the Asian Timber Mafia’ by Lukas Straumann, the Bruno Manser Fund (BMF) claims.

The book alleges corrupt practices on the part of former Sarawak chief minister and current Governor Abdul Taib Mahmud and his family in relation to the state’s timber industry.

A BMF statement issued yesterday says the US-based Environment News Service (ENS) reported that its websites were attacked for a report it carried on the book.

Two killed in Penampang shootout

KOTA KINABALU: The forced lockdown of Penampang Baru saw two men, believed to be suspected robbers, shot dead and a woman arrested in a shootout with police some 6km from here  on Thursday.

However, Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abdul Rahman will not release details of the incident at a press conference as investigations were ongoing.

Terima kasih Musa, tapi...

Baram Dam is Mega Hydro-Bomb

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.”
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning.”
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Where is the RM1 billion allocation for School Repairs?

Kota Kinabalu:  “Where is the RM1 billion allocation for school repairs promised by DPM Tan Sri Muhyiddin this February?  The more Sabahans and Sarawakians look at Budget 2015, the more anger and despair it generates due to the absolute neglect of the Borneo States as though they are not part of the Malaysian federation” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, querying on omission the verbal promise of the RM1 billion to rebuild 600 dilapidated schools in Sabah and Sarawak in Budget 2015.

Are Najib & Rosmah GOING TOO FAR in their sodomy vendetta against Anwar?

Written by Iskandar Dzulkarnain
Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim’s Sodomy Case appeal is coming up for hearing on Oct28th. With the Federal Court dismissing Anwar Ibrahim's final application to disqualify Shafee Abdullah as deputy public prosecutor, it is highly likely that Anwar will not escape incarceration.

Earlier, a three-member Court of Appeal bench sentenced Anwar to five years' jail, but granted him a stay on the sentence pending his appeal to the Federal Court.

Siber-siber judi pula tumbuh seperti cendawan tanpa kawalan dn kekangan.

Musa calls Sabahans not to be swayed by religions exploitists

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Musa Aman has reminded the people of Sabah not to be swayed by certain quarters who tried to instigate them by using religion as a tool.

He said that these instigators had their own agenda as religious issues did not arise in Sabah, where the people lived in peace and harmony regardless of race, religion or culture.

Build Sabah Pan Borneo Highway Without Malayan For Better Quality

Kota Kinabalu:    “The Sabah government should insist that the Sabah section of the Pan Borneo Highway be built without any Malayan companies as the main contractor to avoid skimming of the contract sum and ending with lower quality roads.   It should learn from the Sarawak road quality experience” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in commenting on Datuk Ghafur Salleh’s disclosure that UEM-MMC is to be the main contractor in Sabah unlike the Sarawak government’s insistence that no Malayan Umno companies or cronies be involved in the Sarawak section.

Ulu Sugut a perilous example on how the NCR is desecrated by developmentalist agenda” - Atama Katama

62% of the population of indigenous peoples in Sabah East Malaysia are generally not involved or consulted in planning processes and lack the resources and capacity to defend their land rights which has resulted in the further marginalization of the indigenous peoples by ‘development’ of which corporations and the wealthy elite are the main beneficiaries.

As a nation State that relies heavily on the exploitation of its natural resources for the development of its economy there is a clear tension between the rights of the indigenous to their ancestral lands and the government’s desire to utilize the natural resources.

A TALE OF A THORNY BUDGET !

Once upon a time there was in a small tropical nation, a ruler named Bijan. He wasn't particularly bright as a ruler, but he had a lot of distinguished advisors from the IMF and the World Bank to give him advice how to develop his country. In Bijan's country there were many nice fruit trees lining the paths leading to the fields where the people worked and to the rivers where they caught fish and bathed.

Patrol Boat Incident Poses Question over Naval Readiness to Protect Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: “The “lost and found” incident of the naval patrol boat CB204 clearly uncovers the non-readiness and unpreparedness of the Malaysian navy to protect Sabah and Sarawak in the event of any security threat.   It is a blessing in disguise and should serve as a wake-up call to the federal government to re-assess its commitment to protect Sabah and Sarawak” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in commenting on the patrol boat incident which was found after some 30 hours of loss of contact and with its 7-man crew already starving.

How Many Of 2 Million Poor Households Are in Sabah?

Kota Kinabalu: “After a rosy announcement of an average Malaysian household income of RM5,900 per month, the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the Prime Minister’s Department drops a bombshell that there are 2 million or 28.7% of households earning less than RM3,000 per month. The question that begs an answer is how many of these 2 million households are in Sabah and Sarawak" said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on the announcement by the Minister in the PM’s Department on Tuesday.

Will Federal Flood Aid Come This Time?

Kota Kinabalu: “Having suffered in silence during the last December and this January devastating floods, Sabahans particularly in Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, Papar and Tuaran, should open their eyes and see for themselves the treatment they will be getting or not getting for federal flood aid” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on whether there will be federal aid in the devastating floods that hit the 4 districts and closed 8 schools on Tuesday.

It is with deep regret that in the last floods, there were hardly any federal flood aid for the victims in Sabah.

Build Tunnel Link to Tambunan and Interior

Kota Kinabalu: “It may be a bit late but the PM cum Finance Minister should make an effort to include in Budget 2015, a tunnel link to Tambunan and the Interior and the Sabah Chief Minister and JKR Sabah should make a concerted effort to plan and secure the necessary funds for the project” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief in commenting on latest landslide at Upper Moyog, Penampang, that disrupted and brought traffic to a standstill after heavy rains.

Anggota Parlimen Kota Belud, Abdul Rahman Dahlan, jelaslah bukan suara dari Sabah tapi suara UMNO tulen berpaksi politik UMNO Malaya.

CAPS supports SHAREDA's call on MyHome Scheme

BY Ezra Haganez
KOTA KINABALU :  In conjunction with World Habitat Day yesterday, the Consumer affairs and Protection Society of Sabah (CAPS) has called on both the Federal and State Governments to pave for more affordable houses be built for locals, including the younger generation.

CAPS spokesman, Donny Yapp, in a statement said ways and means must be found to have more low-cost housing be developed instead of medium and high cost houses as the trend had been.

Actually there is no Malay race, says veteran writer

By Joe Fernandez
The Tamils in the peninsula are more Orang Asal than others except the Orang Asli.

Tamil schools in the Federation cannot be questioned because the first civilisation in the peninsula was Kadaram in Kedah which was a trading bridge between India and China.

The Kadaram people, Hindus from India, were the first to settle down in the peninsula after the Orang Asli. Kedah comes from kedai (Tamil for shop). There were many shops in Kadaram.

There is no Malaysia in Borneo, says veteran writer Fernandez

By Joe Fernandez
If you are free to enter a partnership, you are also free to leave it. If you are not free to leave a partnership, then it's not a partnership. It's occupation and re-colonization.

The issue is that Malaysia has no legitimacy in Borneo. If someone steals your land, you have to get it back. Not live as a slave on your own land with the thief.

MAWASI: Sampai Bila Bersabar? - SSPR

Protect Natives Rights, Stop Eviction and Destruction of Ulu Sugut Villages

Kota Kinabalu: “The Sabah government should protect native rights to native customary lands and stop the eviction and destruction of the village lands, plants and crops in the 3 villages of Kg. Malinsau, Kg. Wayan and Kg. Sinurai in Ulu Sugut, Ranau” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief voicing out his concerns on the reported destruction of the village lands and crops by the purported registered landowner with more than 100 alleged foreigners which started on Thursday.

Syarikat Malaya rampas tanah adat Ulu Sugut

Kami buntu kerana apabila kami hubungi wakil rakyat tiada respon. Mungkin pagi esok beberapa ekar getah akan siap diradu.

Sabah Lost More Than It Gained from Malaysia

Kota Kinabalu: “It is incredible and almost unbelievable reading the reasons and excuses given by federalist leaders from Sabah and federal leaders across the South China Sea. It is as though Sabah has never had it so good or any better if not for forming Malaysia there would be no progress and no development” asked Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on the various statements as though Sabah will be without development, be bankrupt or eaten up by its neighbours or infiltrated with Islamic State (IS) militants bent on taking over Sabah and creating an Islamic caliphate and moving back to the dark ages.

D.O. Should Not Play Politics With Excuses

Kota Kinabalu: “It is a sad day for the civil service when the District Officer tried to play politics to justify his refusal to open up the Batu Sumpah monument on Malaysia with excuses and lies. It may be better that he ask to be transferred out of Keningau to protect the good name of the Sabah civil service” said Dr. Jeffrey in response to the so-called explanation of the District Officer that STAR Sabah applied to hold the Malaysia Day commemoration service.

“If the District Officer wish to recall, I applied for permission as the State Assemblyman for Bingkor and the request was not made under STAR Sabah party as alleged by the D.O.” stressed Dr. Jeffrey.

Validity of Sedition Act is at stake, says Paulsen

gerak hapus akta hasutan 0509 840 630 100Executive Director of Lawyers for Liberty, Eric Paulsen, says that the Sedition Act 1948 was merely adopted by the then Malaya and did not pass through an existing Parliament.
As such, its validity, in a modern democracy, is questionable.
Paulsen told the Rakyat Times that prior to independence, the Sedition Ordinance was enacted in 1948 and that piece of legislation was gazetted as law.
He explained that under Article (10) (2) clearly stated that only Parliament may by law impose the restrictions on the freedom of speech.

Sabah Umno BN Leaders Need to Stand up for Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: “Sabah Umno BN leaders need to come out of their cocoons and hiding places and put the facts correct to the federal government that Sabah and Sarawak (with Singapore then) formed Malaysia on 16 September, 1963. There should be no dispute and no ambiguity to this historical fact.” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR Sabah in supporting the call by a senior Sarawak BN leader cum Minister that those who distort history should be charged with sedition.

Time to Re-build ‘Batu Sumpah’ as National Monument

Kota Kinabalu: “The “BATU SUMPAH” or Oath Stone should be relocated and rebuilt as a National Monument as it is the only constitutional document in the whole of Malaysia erected specifically for the purpose instead of being relegated as a landscaping stone in front of the District Office” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, the Assemblyman for Bingkor where the Oath Stone is located.

“Every Malaysian and even tourists can visit this historical monument. It can be the pride of the whole nation”, he said.

Sabah Sarawak Clearly Cheated If What Najib Says is True

Kota Kinabalu: “The truth behind the takeover of Sabah and Sarawak by Malaya appears to be revealed, intentionally or unintentionally, by the comparison of Sabah and Sarawak “joining” Malaysia similarly to the States of Wisconsin and Hawaii joining the original 13 States of the U.S.A. as disclosed by PM Najib on Malaysia Day in Miri” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting Najib’s statement that the newer States other than the founding 13 States in U.S.A. celebrate 4th of July as their Independence Day despite joining later and that Sabah and Sarawak should accept 31 August 1957 as the Independence Day of Malaysia.

Removal of Key Words Show Government Can't be Trusted

Photo credit to 1 Suara Sabah Facebook page
Kota Kinabalu: “The removal of the key words “Kerajaan Malaysia Jamin” meaning “The Malaysian Government Guarantees” from the “Batu Sumpah” Oath Stone in Keningau shows that the Malaysian government cannot be trusted because they can change anything they want including the history of Malaysia and the rights of Sabah and Sarawak” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief.

What is the meaning and intention for the removal of the key words in the “Batu Sumpah”?

By removing the key words, the government of Malaysia can now say that they do not guarantee that religious freedom; forest and that natural resources belongs to Sabah and the safeguarding of native customs, adat and traditions. It reflects the insincere and bad intention of the government.

Why Are Federal and Sabah Govts Preventing Malaysia Day Commemoration at Batu Sumpah?

Kota Kinabalu: “Why are the federal and Sabah governments preventing Malaysia Day commemoration at the Batu Sumpah on Malaysia Day?   It is disappointing to see the police personnel turning out in full force with their Black Marias reading to stop and arrest the people from performing their commemoration rituals at the Batu Sumpah” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, who with a large crowd of hundreds who were prevented from entering the Batu Sumpah compound on Malaysia Day.

No More Empty Talk, Restore Equal Partnership to Save Malaysia

Kota Kinabalu:     “Malayan leaders, both from the BN government and the Pakatan opposition, should climb down from their high horses and stop the empty and hollow words to sweet talk Sabahans and Sarawakians on the future of Malaysia.  The time has come for all parties particularly the federal government to rectify past mistakes on the formation of Malaysia and save Malaysia before it is too late from saving it from breaking up” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in his speech at Batu Sumpah, Keningau, on Malaysia Day, where the ceremony was being prevented from being performed by the police authorities.

Free Sabah from Malaya’s Domination and Occupation

Kota Kinabalu:    “The formation of Malaysia as a partnership through the merger of 4 sovereign entities is meaningless if Sabah continues to be occupied and dominated by the over-presence of Malayan government officers and federal government agencies” said Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of BHF in his Malaysia Day message at the Batu Sumpah, Keningau.

Mengapa UK tidak penjarakan pemisah Scotland?

Wong Chin Huat, Malaysia Insider

Mahathir thinks Malays are a dishonest bunch !

PETALING JAYA: In a no holds barred message at a book launch, former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad said he found it hard to trust Malays because they lacked a sense of honesty and integrity.

Mahathir said, “Malays think nothing of taking money that is not theirs. I have seen it with my own eyes. They also struggle to manage their finances well or with any degree of honesty.”

He added, ”If you take something that does not belong to you, what you are doing in essence, is stealing.”

Scots and Sabahans, share similar fate, and yet so different...

By Angus MacSwan

EDINBURGH (Reuters) - British Prime Minister David Cameron on Wednesday begged Scots not to rip apart the United Kingdom's "family of nations", flying to Scotland to man the barricades against a surge in support for independence eight days before a referendum.

Cameron appealed to Scots to use their heads and their hearts when they voted on Sept. 18. He reminded them of their shared history and bonds with England, Wales and Northern Ireland - twice evoking World War Two and the fight against Hitler.

Sabah Bukan Milik Malaysia

Jeffrey Appeals to CM Musa to Open Up Batu Sumpah on Malaysia Day

Kota Kinabalu: “Batu Sumpah belongs to the rakyat specifically created in the Interior as a commitment of loyalty to Malaysia in terturn for the assurance that the Federal Government will honour religious freedom  (no official religion), land, forest and natural resources belongs to Sabah and the native customs, adat and traditions will be safeguarded.

“The Batu Sumpah does not belong to the government and therefor the government have no right to prevent anybody to visit and pay respect to the Monument” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, who was unhappy that the District Office has denied their request to visit the Batu Sumpah on Malaysia Day.

Scotland poise to vote for independence of UK !

The leaders of Britain's three main political parties announced a last-minute trip to Scotland on Tuesday to boost the campaign against independence after a surge in separatist support ahead of next week's referendum.

Conservative Prime Minister David Cameron and opposition Labour leader Ed Miliband agreed to skip their weekly debate in the House of Commons on Wednesday and instead head north, reflecting a new sense of urgency in the unionist camp.
