Najib vs Mahathir: Who will survive, who will bite the dust?

How do you feel when someone keeps breathing down your neck, nagging, criticizing and meddling with your work right from the day you start work?

Well, if you want to know, 'tanya Najib'. Yes, ask Prime Minister Najib Razak because that must be how he is feeling all this while. And worse still, the person doing the heavy breathing is not Mongolian beauty Altantuya Shaariibuu or wife Rosmah Mansor but Mahathir Mohamad!

Yes, Mahathir or Dr M the former prime minister - hard as nails and some say ruthlessness personified - who defeated all other pretenders to his throne including Musa Hitam, Tengku Razaleigh and Anwar Ibrahim. Dr M also removed Abdullah Badawi from power even though he had handpicked Badawi to succeed him. And this was how Najib came to power - given the green light from Mahathir to replace Badawi..


Sabah, Sarawak Unite for Borneo Rights - Jeffrey

Kota Kinabalu:     “There is no necessity for the MPs from Sabah and Sarawak to meet with other leaders in Kuala Lumpur to lead or even assist in securing the restoration of the rights of the Borneo States or even to ask for ministerial positions in the Federal Government”said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in response to reports of MPs from Sabah and Sarawak meeting up with Tengku Razaleigh.

Malaysia as it is today is not the original concept the KL snake oil salesmen sold to our grandparents- being 5 countries as equal partners in a confederation which looked after defence and foreign affairs!

The original concept was a recycled 1942 British war time forward planning idea to consolidate the 3 British Borneo Protectorates (from 1888) Brunei North Borneo & Sarawak with Malaya and Singapore under one colonial admin and military command.

Chaos in KK over terminal relocation

KOTA KINABALU: Bus travellers in Kota Kinabalu better prepare for more chaos next month when the city public transport services undergoes some “restructuring”.

KK City Hall has decided to temporary close its Wawasan Bus Terminal – the main bus terminal in the city – for upgrading works starting July 5.

This is following complaints that it is in a deplorable condition and is causing problems to the commuters every day.

Let Elected Reps Appoint Constituency Staff - Jeffrey

 Kota Kinabalu:“Time have changed for politics and the expectations of the people as the ultimate power and authority of government has been transformed and the roles of elected representatives have evolved with these transformations and expectations”said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, in calling for the State government to allow elected representatives to nominate and appoint constituency operational staff.

The elected Bingkor assemblyman had made the call during his recent opening of his Bingkor State Assemblyman liaison office in Bingkor town, Keningau.
