“BN should stop hoodwinking the people and play the “Best Developmentunder BN” card to attract voters support when it is clear that the BN State and Federal governments have failed in their responsibility to properly develop Sabah” responded Datuk Dr.Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief to reports that Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Pairin Kitingan, has praised that BN has the best track record government in the world in development and that the people of Sabah should continue to support BN in the coming general election.

STAR ‘candidate’ charged for cheating

Sabah STAR chief Jeffrey Kitingan’s selection of candidates
is not going down well with those around him.
KOTA KINABALU: State Reform Party (STAR) chairman Jeffery Kitingan is facing criticism from within his party after a candidate he named for the Klias state constituency seat was charged with cheating.

The candidate, Jismit Japong, was charged in a magistrate court here on Thursday with cheating a man by impersonating as Sekong Umno assemblyman who is also Ko-Nelayan chairman.

The mortifying blow comes just three weeks after Jeffrey announced Jismit as the party’s candidate.

Jeffrey wants Orang Asal, Allies as ‘Force to be Reckoned With’ in mainstream politics

By Joe Fernandez
Activists from Sabah strongman Jeffrey Kitingan's various NGOs are mercilessly bludgeoning both sides of the political divide, even mosquito parties, with sledgehammers of sorts. Apparently, Jeffrey is leaving nothing to chance as the countdown to the 13th General Elections is set to begin after the Christmas and New Year festive cheers. This is politics in the jungle at its best.

Jeffrey's inner circle points out that even if the other Opposition and ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) "did not ask for it", they would be "morally obliged to make mincemeat of all those who are against the Agenda Borneo". The Agenda Borneo, in a nutshell, stands against everything that the "agenda parti parti Malaya in Borneo" or "Agenda Malaya" stands for in Sabah and Sarawak. The Borneon in Jeffrey alleges that the Agenda Malaya is a thinly-disguised policy of internal colonisation in Sabah and Sarawak, waged against the Orang Asal in particular -- Murut and Dusun including Kadazan or urban Dusun in Sabah and Dayak in Sarawak -- and Borneons in general.

Explain Authority & Implications of Establishing Special Security Area and What Rules

While we appreciate the need for the Special Security Area (SSA) from Kudat to Tawau in view of the Sulu Invasion, the PM should also clearly explainand define the terms of reference of the SSA so that the citizens can understand how it works and how it affects their everyday lives” said Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief.

“Does the PM have the authority to declare Kudat to Tawau as a “Special Security Area”?  If so, under what authority?”

PM Must Guarantee Safety and Restore Confidence of Sabahans - Dr. Jeffrey

“Now that the fear felt by Sabahans have become a reality, Najib as the current Prime Minister, must not only guarantee the security of Sabahans but he must also restore their confidence because security was the number 1 reason why Sabahans agreed to be part of Malaysia”, said Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief.

“So far, the Federal Government dominated by Malaya and led by UMNO/BN has not only failed but has put Sabah and its citizens at risks and made Sabah insecure by supporting Muslim rebellion in the Philippines and supplying them weapons, giving them refuge and training facilities in Sabah, and worst by deploying them as voters in Sabah through the ‘Project IC Mahathir’ despite knowing full well that the same group of people from the Philippines have unsettled claim over Sabah” he said.

STAR adds ‘Kita Ambil Balik’ to ‘Ini Kali Lah’

The new slogan is aimed at helping the party take
back what was taken away from Sabahans.
By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: With its conviction building that its time has come, Jeffrey Kitingan’s State Reform Party (STAR) has added to its popular slogan, “Ini Kali Lah” the additional phrase “Kita Ambil Balik” (We Shall Take Back) ahead of the coming general election.
STAR Sabah operation room director, Saiman Sandah, in a statement here today said, the slogan “Ini Kali Lah, Kita Ambil Balik” will help pave the way for STAR to lead in taking back what was taken away from the state and Sabahans.
He said the new slogan has already started to be used by STAR leaders at the party’s functions including at a closed-door briefings for potential candidates at the Ming Garden Hotel here over the weekend.

Don't Be Blinded by BN's Sweets, says Dr. Jeffrey

KOTA KINABALU: The people of Sabah, especially the Chinese shouldn’t be unduly enticed by the sweets being handed out by the Barisan Nasional, said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan.

The Sabah STAR Chairman, made this call in his speech at the Chinese New Year grand dinner at Buhavan Square, Donggongon near here on February 22. He said that the BN government had failed to significantly improve the economy, leaving many poor people continuing to suffer in the villages.

163 SPF members join STAR, 18,400 to follow suit

Sabah STAR Chairman with former SPF leaders and members
KOTA KINABALU:  State Reform Party (STAR) reaped a bounty yesterday (Sunday) when 163 leaders and members of the now defunct Sabah People’s Front (SPF) at a luncheon at Mayflower restaurant along Jalan Bundusan here.

In welcoming their entry, Sabah STAR Chairman, Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, said that the members of SPF were very disappointed for having been played out to the point that they lost their political platform when it was taken over by other people. SPF was somehow taken over by a Sarawak group and its name was changed to Sarawak Workers’ Party.

Jeffrey, Yong fail to settle seats issue

Both disagreed with each other's presumed strength in
many Kadazandusun areas, where both want to break into.
By Luke Rintod of FMT
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah-based opposition party leaders Yong Teck Lee and Jeffrey Kitingan were in discussions last night in a last- ditch effort to stitch together a pact to give Sabah voters a clear choice between a local opposition front and a peninsula-based one.

But the two pivotal figures in Sabah’s opposition power play, however, again failed to reconcile their overlapping claims for Sabah parliamentary and state seats.

According to sources, the secrecy surrounding the meeting caused some delay in the arrival of representatives – from both parties – at the rendezvous point in the city.

‘It’s too late for Sabah Umno, BN’

BN leaders in Sabah can chastise the opposition
as much as they want in order to serve their
peninsular master, but their end is nearing,
says opposition STAR.
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan Nasional’s ‘incessant holler’ and attacks on opposition parties especially the State Reform Party (STAR) has not deflected grassroots perceptions of the BN’s unworthiness.

In fact the more BN leaders defend the alleged wrongdoings of their Umno-BN bosses and justify the coalition’s continued presence in Sabah, the more compelling the need to boot them out, claims STAR chief Jeffrey Kitingan.

In a statement lambasting state BN secretary Abdul Rahman Dahlan for hitting at the opposition’s insistence on the Borneo Agenda which includes Sabah becoming a nation ‘within’ Malaysia, Jeffrey said the current ‘domination’ by the peninsular was “morally wrong’

He says he had been waiting for his turn
which might finally come today (Thursday)
By Luke Rintod of FMT

He has been on standby since Monday after the RCI notified him he probably would be called at this second session and possibly at another session after the Chinese New Year.
When contacted by FMT here today, Jeffrey said he had been waiting for his turn which might finally come tomorrow (Thursday).
It is understood the RCI is expected to give at least 24-hour notice to witnesses to appear before it.

Reasons for leaving Star amusing

By Rayner Wee, STAR Information Chief for Pantai Manis
PAPAR : In response to ex-Star member Bernard Mojikon's purported claim, as carried by Daily Express' Bahasa section yesterday, that Hj Baharudin Hj Nayan was the cause for Patrick Sindu to leave State Reform Party, we found it rather amusing and intriguing excuse.

Never in our knowledge that Hj Baharudin was "always going against Sindu" as Mojikon had claimed in the news report. In fact Hj Baharudin is the most steady and calm leader we have as far as openness and transparency are concerned.

Sabah Leaders Need To Join Hands To Oust Illegitimate Government- Dr.J

The unprecedented and shocking, to say the least, revelations at the on-going Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on phantom voters and illegitimate voters enabling fraudulent wins for Umno/BN candidates is the clarion call for all Sabah leaders across the political divide to join hands to oust the illegitimate government and to call for the suspension of the forthcoming general elections in Sabah until the electoral rolls are cleaned up” said Datuk Dr.Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR SABAH in a press statement released today.

‘Jeffrey desperate because STAR falling apart’

By Joseph Bingkasan
Angkatan Perubahan Sabah chief Wilfred Bumburing
has reminded STAR's Jeffrey Kitingan of his own
"cari makan politics" past.
KOTA KINABALU: Tuaran MP Wilfred Bumburing believes that State Reform Party (STAR) chief Jeffrey Kitingan’s incessant attacks on him is because of Angkatan Perubahan Sabah’s (APS) increasing presence in KadazanDusunMurut areas.
Bumburing said it was now obvious that Jeffrey, who’s been claiming absolute strength in KDM areas, was “desperate” because “STAR is falling apart since the formation of APS”.
He said the dissolution of the STAR Papar division last month with the exit of well-known activist Patrick Sindu and more than 1,000 members was an indication of the beginning. All of them joined PKR.

Bumburing, a Prisoner of Conscience? : Dr. Jeffrey

I was shocked for three reasons – One, what leverage do you have to demand when you belong to them (PKR).
Two, where will you go if you leave? …. BN?   Third, are you not a potential traitor to PR/PKR and to
the rakyat who elected you?; Dr Jeffrey
“Wilfred Bumburing, leader of the so-called APS, is a prisoner of his own conscience because he is unable to distinguish between the right to fight/defend Sabah’s inalienable rights and the politics of nationalism. He seems pre-occupied with the politics of “carimakan” rather than fighting for regaining Sabah’s rights and correcting the wrongs committed by Malayan political leaders on Sabah” said Datuk Dr.Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR SABAH in response to Bumburing’s statement that STAR is “Anti-Malaya”.

STAR: CM Should Clarify Timber Deal Report

“The CM, as chairman of Yayasan Sabah, should clarify the Business Times report and not the Director of Forestryas there seems to be more behind the purported timber deal of some 80,937 hectares (199,995 acres) to be awarded to Permaju Holdings Sdn. Bhd. by Yayasan Sabah (YS)” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR SABAH in response to the mere denial by the Director of Forestry to the news report of the alleged timber deal in the Business Times on Monday.
