Dr Jeffrey deserves to be supported, says veteran activist

It is heartening to see that finally our "dear leader" Dr Jeffrey Kitingan will have his own political vehicle, Star, to stand in the coming general elections.

As activist of 71 years old, I'm delighted to welcome this new year with so much optimism that some good changes are finally dawning onto my beloved state Sabah. In my humblest opinion, Dr Jeffrey among all leaders we have on Sabah autonomy and rights are the most deserving of support from the people of Sabah, and Sarawak too.

MCLM president Haris Ibrahim quits

PETALING JAYA (Jan 3, 2012): Malaysian Civil Liberty Movement (MCLM) president Haris Ibrahim (pix) yesterday announced his resignation from the post, citing disappointment with recent controversial statements made by its chairman, exiled-blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.

Haris in a blog post, claimed Raja Petra's statements, published in an interview with an English daily, had contradicted the ideals on which the movement was formed in late 2010.

Time For Sabahans To Unite And Be Assertive

“Sabahans, especially Sabahan leaders must stand together irrespective of their political ideologies, when it comes to the common interest of Sabah” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, the Chairman of UBF.

“I am beginning to see this happening on the issue of the RCI and Project IC as well as on illegal immigration.”

STAR Sabah to be Launched on 06 January 2012

“The State Reform Party (STAR) will officially launch the Sabah Chapter of STAR (STAR Sabah) on 06 January 2012” announced Awang Ahmad Sah Datuk Awang Sahari, the Organizing Chairman of the launching in a press statement released today.

STAR Sabah will be jointly launched by its President, Dr. Dripin Sakoi, and Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, the Chairman of the Sabah Chapter, at Hongkod Koisaan, KDCA, Penampang, at 2.00pm. and more than 5,000 people are excepted to attend the launching.
