Kota Kinabalu: “If the federal government has nothing to hide over the Double 6 air-crash that killed Tun Fuad Stephens and several of his Cabinet Ministers on 6th June 1976, then they should de-classify the air-crash investigations and publish the full report” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, Chairman of STAR Sabah in a press statement released in conjunction with the 39th anniversary of the air-crash.

1976 Was A Horrible Year For Sabah
Kota Kinabalu: “Whichever angle or perspective you look at, 1976 was “annus horribilis” or horrible year for Sabah. It was just not a horrible year for Sabah in 1976 alone but it continued until the present day and Sabahans are still suffering from its effects” said Datuk Dr. Jeffrey Kitingan, STAR Sabah Chief, commenting on on-going spat between the 2 Tan Sris, Pairin and Harris Salleh, on the loss of Sabah rights.

the 11 state leaders and officers who perished in a Nomad air crash in
Sembulan 36 years ago.
They bowed and laid two wreaths at the "Double Six monument. Dr Jeffrey in a short speech said yesterday Sabahans remembered the good deeds of leaders like Fuad Stephens, Peter Mojuntin, Salleh Sulong and Chong Thain Vun and all the others.
