KOTA KINABALU: Thousands of Muslims in oil and resource rich Sabah will greet Hari Raya today without clean drinking water, electricity, telephones and proper roads.

According to PKR, gloom permeates the state which houses Malaysia’s poorest of the poor.

Describing the pathetic conditions in Sabah, PKR vice president Tian Chua claimed he has seen poverty in many rural areas as well as on the fringe of many towns in the state.

Orang Asli vow to protest if gov’t takes land

The Orang Asli community will once again descend on Putrajaya in force if the government insists on going ahead with dividing up their native customary lands.

Peninsular Malaysia Orang Asli Villages Network (JKOASM) coordinator Tijah Yok Chopil said that while Orang Asli are peaceful people, they have no choice if the government remains adamant.

“Honestly, even if it carries high risk, we will go down to Putrajaya, Parliament or the Orang Asli Development Deparment (JAKOA). This is not a threat, but our livelihood is pressed and we have no other choice.

Ajaran yang PSM belajar adalah Utusan Malaysia kebal bercakap bohong dan tidak ada apa yang boleh dilakukan. Begitu juga ada ahli PERKASA dan orang UMNO seperti Ezam yang boleh membuat ugutan berunsur jenayah tetapi mereka kebal dan tiada tindakan diambil terhadap mereka.

Comrade Saraswathy, Letchumanan and Sugumaran took turn to thank the people of Balakong for their contribution and support in the EO6 campaign.  All 3 speakers echoed that taking over Putra Jaya is possible, not because it’s close to Balakong but because the people – the rakyat no longer fear the UMNO oppressors.  The comrades declared their full support for Pakatan Rakyat to take over the reign from Barisan Nasional.

Is Sabah Independence In Malaysia?

AS we went thru our normal life, Sabah is about to celebrate Independence Day on August 31 and will be celebrating a Malaysia Day falls on September 16 and the question now where does Sabah go from here. 

As a Malaysian youth in Sabah, I am very much obliged to share and would like to bring the people of Sabah back to an early days of Malaysia and ask whether Sabah is really a true Independence state in Malaysia after been 48 years since the colonization from the British. 

I would like to give a scenario here:

People had asked me whether Sabah JOINED or FORMED Malaysia? I told them that there will be no Malaysia without the inclusion of Sabah and Sarawak. Does Malaysia exist on 31st August 1957? The answer is NO. Malaysia only exists on the 16th September 1963 when Sabah and Sarawak together with Malaya to form MALAYSIA.
