Soi Lek: Ignore Muhyiddin, follow Najib on 1Melayu, 1Bumi

MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek said today Utusan Malaysia did not represent all Malays, despite Umno deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin claiming the Umno-owned daily was the voice of the community.

“Utusan does not even have the same circulation as The Star even though there are more Malays. We never say that The Star represents the voice of the Chinese,” he said of the leading English daily that is owned by MCA.

Hope yet for Borneo people

GENEVA: The people of Borneo can rest assured that they are not neglected by the international community. Their woes have been heard by the various United Nation agencies and international organisations.

Secretary-general of Common Interest Group Malaysia or CigMa, Kanul Gindol, told FMT in Geneva that dialogues with European leaders and the UN Commission for Human Rights (UNCHR) have been fruitful.

Enter Muhyiddin, actor No. 3 in Umno's 'liar politics' 1Melayu, 1Bumi drama

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyddin Yassin's protective comments of Umno-owned newspaper Utusan and its proposed 1Melayu, 1Bumi is unlikely to set off the same fire that snaked through the nation when he declared he was Malay first and Malaysian second last year.

His political rivals warned that it was just a gimmick to satisfy the right-wing members in Umno, with Prime Minister Najib Razak and former premier Mahathir Mohamad already briefed and agreeable to the script. Both Najib and Mahathir had scolded Utusan for its suggestion last week, saying it could destroy racial unity.

As expected, govt claims Male Y is Anwar based on items taken from cell

As expected, Prime Minister Najib Razak's government claims the owner of the 'Male Y' DNA found in sodomy complainant Saiful Bukhari Azlan's anus belonged to Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.

According to lead prosecutor Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden, the Male Y DNA sample matched those of Anwar taken from three items - a water bottle, a towel and a toothbrush - left in a cell where he had spent the night after he was arrested in July 2008.

Selangor Exco Elizabeth Wong's personal assistant arrested by Miri Police

CAN WE MALAYSIANS REALLY CONDONE SUCH ACTS BY POLICEMEN AND I WONDERED WHETHER WE ARE ACTUALLY LIVING IN A DEMOCRATIC ERA OR WE ARE STILL WAY BACK 50 YEARS AGO !!!!!

The guy “arrested” in the video is Adrian.  He is one of the few young upcoming Malaysian who is taking a responsible role in Malaysia’s future – by protecting its forest.  He works for Elizabeth as her PA under her environment portfolio.  He was at the vote counting centre at Miri and was hauled off like a “spread eagled animal”.

the fight for justice MUST continue...use our votes wisely...

The IGP must explain this! We must stop this nonsense brutality !!!

In a free and democratic country, the police should protect its people irrespective of race, economic standing and religion but in Malaysia they don't.  This incident is a clear example of how they operate.  It is clear cut Police brutality and intimidation.  Do you still trust them?

As you can see, even Elizabeth Wong herself was man handled and pushed.  Is that how you would treat an MP ?  Don't dream that Malaysia is a democratic country yet.  It is still living in the dark ages.  How can it be a developed country by whatever date as long as this kind of attitude still exist.  Remember, Adrian, the PA is not a dangerous hard core criminal or terrorist.
Adrian is now safely back home.  He is his parent’s only son.  I can only imagine his parent’s anguish when they first heard what happened to Adrian.  Maybe it was something like what Teoh Beng Hock’s family went through (and still going through).  Maybe also with Easter round the corner, it may stir our hearts to think of what people of passion go through.
.
The fight for justice is a long one especially in a corrupt country like Malaysia.  Perhaps, one day, with the sacrifices of the good and just people, Malaysia can become a developed country but not for now or even in the near future.  Corrupted leaders in Egypt, Syria, Libya had been ousted .... so BN has to go !!!

Malaysia really need reforms desperately !!

BN soiling itself in Kota Marudu

Kota Marudu full of Garbage
KOTA KINABALU: A growing pile of garbage – several million cubic feet of festering waste – may be another legacy of the Barisan Nasional Sabah government in Kota Marudu if something is not done fast.

The stinking pile of garbage that is about 15 feet high and occupies about three acres is growing with up to eight trucks of rubbish dumped at the site by the district council on the site every day, according to residents.
