Finally!!! Dr M's right-hand men implicated in Sabah IC scam

NONE
Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin
Two of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's closest confidantes were today implicated by witnesses testifying before the royal commission of inquiry (RCI) into the alleged citizenship-for-votes scam in Sabah.

A former Sabah National Registration Department (NRD) officer testified that he and the others stayed at the house of Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin (right), who was then Mahathir's political secretary, when they were roped in to issue blue identity cards to the immigrants.

Yakup Damsah, who was then Tamparuli NRD chief, told the RCI that he and the other NRD officers were flown from Sabah to Kuala Lumpur, from where they worked out of Aziz's house in Kampung Pandan.

No life for Sabah parties in BN after Mahathir, says Star

"Mahathir should be charged in Court over his blog
posting “which is tantamount to an admission of
sedition and treason", says STAR's Sabah Deputy Chairman,
Daniel John Jambun
KOTA KINABALU: The State Reform Party (Star) has challenged local parties in Sabah to leave the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the wake of former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s widely-reported blog posting on Wednesday this week that “illegal immigrants who have stayed long in Sabah are entitled to citizenship especially when they can speak Bahasa Malaysia”.

He also called for the removal of illegal immigrants holding MyKads meant for citizens by operation of law from the electoral rolls.

Police urged to charge Mahathir with treason

Thirdly, Daniel urged the Police to interview Mahathir and charge him in Court over his blog posting “which is tantamount to an admission of sedition and treason”. He’s not in favour of the Federal Government recommending to the King that Mahathir be given any Royal Pardon by the backdoor.

Citizenship for foreigners: Dr M’s reasoning flawed

KOTA KINABALU: A Sabah MP today lashed out at the Umno-led federal government for irresponsibly granting foreigners residing in Sabah citizenship merely because they can speak the language and had been in the state for a number of years.

Sepangar MP Eric Majimbun, who is Sabah Progressive Party deputy president, said the ruling coalition’s real agenda in granting citizenship to foreigners was to hang on to power using their votes of gratitude.

Rafik Hariri UN-Habitat award for Dr Mahathir

By Cindi Loo of The Sun
PETALING JAYA (July 8, 2012): Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been named as recipient of the 2012 Rafik Hariri UN-Habitat Memorial Award as a recognition of his leadership, statesmanship and good governance.

He was selected out of 13 other nominations from Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, United States, Canada, El Salvador, Nicaragua, India, Bangladesh, UK, Japan and the Philippines by the award steering committee on June 29.

He will be honoured in an award ceremony in New York on Sept 28.

"The per capita income in Malaysia during his time increased eight times. The model of thinking to get out of problems and crisis was almost the same as that of prime minister Rafik Hariri," said International Jury chairman Mervat Tallawy in a press statement on the UN-Habitat website.

When your sins can be cleansed

Raja Petra Kamarudin
On 24th June 2006, Malaysia Today organised a dialogue session with Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the Kelab Century Paradise. Many of the PAS and DAP leaders attended this dialogue, which was the platform that Dr Mahathir used to launch his attack on Umno and Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Basically, it was Dr Mahathir’s version of the ABU or ‘anything but Umno’ campaign.
Only a few of the PKR leaders attended, though, and later that year, during the PKR convention in Penang, Azmin Ali attacked me while Anwar Ibrahim looked on with a smirk on his face. Azmin called me a collaborator and in not so many words told me to go to hell. They were pissed big-time because I was now ‘working’ for Dr Mahathir. Well, I continued to ‘work’ for Dr Mahathir right up to November 2007 when we launched the now historical Bersih rally, which, incidentally, was also supported by Umno people, in particular those aligned to Dr Mahathir. They donated loads of T-shirts and caps as well.

Star: Rich Sabah poorest state in Malaysia a paradox

KOTA KINABALU: Sabahans know the difference between wealth and poverty and they don't need former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, who "squatted" on them for 22 years and Petronas, to "insult their intelligence on the difference between the two situations".

That's the challenge from the State Reform Party (Star) on Mahathir's take in the local media on Wed forecasting Sabah will be the richest state soon in Malaysia in terms of natural resources.

Dr M : I made Robert Kuok a Tycoon ! What Rubbish !

By Ms Li Xiang Lan
I just took a cursory glance through what Mahathir said here, and you may quote that me a woman is offended like "no fury greater than woman being" conned by the outbursts of a man who was once Prime Minister of our Beloved Land, Malaysia. Is he still in possession of his right senses or is now already senile, talking through his "where the sun never shines" ?

PPSMI: Sometimes Dr M makes sense

The former premier (Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad) says science is a dynamic subject and it was better to teach the subject in the English language.

It is never too late if the government wants to reintroduce the Teaching and Learning of Science and Mathematics in English (PPSMI) in primary schools, although it has decided to fully use Bahasa Malaysia in 2016, said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Dr M: Congrats for ‘destroying’ Umno

Responding to a FMT report, Mahathir says that certain quarters may
have sown the seeds of suspicion among Umno leaders and members.
PETALING JAYA: Dr Mahathir Mohamad has responded to the speculation that he is once again working backstage to bring the curtain down on another political career – that of his protege Najib Tun Razak.

The former premier complained about a FMT report which portrayed him as being the force behind the alleged move to replace Najib with current number two Muhyiddin Yassin.
