KOTA KINABALU: Immaculate Lojuki, 20, from Kota Kinabalu was crowned the 2013 state level Unduk Ngadau competition winner, bagging more than RM80, 000 worth of prizes.
The first and second runner up prize falls to Ritchell Andreas from Ranau and Nillsey Debbie Sening from Tuaran.
They all brought back a trophy, tiaras, jewellery and cash prizes among other items.
Immaculate who is a receptionist in one of Sabah's five-star resorts said she did not expect to win because although she all the other contestants were good in their own way.
Among the responsibilities of the Unduk Ngadau is to promote tourism when she takes over as the new Tourism Ambassador for the state.
"I am very happy to be announced as this year's Unduk Ngadau, and hope to be able to take up the responsibilities of an ambassador and to be a leader to the younger generation," she said on Friday.
The third daughter among four siblings is also considering furthering her studies with the scholarship given by a tourism institute in Sabah for the winner.
