There is need to increase Christian reps, says Kanul

under BEBAS platform with a key as it symbol.

KOTA BELUD : There is a need to increase the number of Christian parliamentarians as the group was currently under-represented, claimed an independent candidate for the Kota Belud parliamentary seat here.

Kanul Gindol, 47, said there could well be less than 10 percent Christian MPs in Malaysia's Parliament, thus this had helped put Christians here vulnerable to exploitations and bullying by the larger blocks.

"A huge majority of the total 222 parliamentary seats in Parliament are already occupied by Muslim MPs as well as the Chinese leaders.
We have no qualm about them winning, but we must seek to increase Christian representation at the House if we are to be heard and respected," he said at his dialogue with community leaders in Kampung Gaur near here yesterday.

Kanul who uses a "key" as his symbol for this May 5 poll, is the sole Christian candidate for Kota Belud parliamentary seat.

He is facing four other aspirants -- incumbent Abdul Rahman Dahlan of UMNO, PKR's Inaraisah Munirah Majilis, Jalumin Bayogoh of STAR and another independent candidate, Lamsil Hamidsor, who has since been "expelled" from UMNO for going against the BN candidate.

According to Kanul, a journalist cum political activist, the under-represented Christian community, had been subjected to loads of marginalisation and ridicule by the establishment and that certain parties from Peninsular simply took them for granted because of their weak number in Parliament.

"So bad was the bullying of the Christians now that an MP had last year even gone overboard calling muslims to burn Christian publications including our Holy Bible or Alkitab. This MP is now rewarded when UMNO withdrew its candidate to pave for his return to Parliament.

"This is unacceptable, particularly because the MP concerned was known to be close, either previously or now, openly or in secret, to both leaders of the ruling Barisan Nasional and opposition Pakatan Rakyat," he claimed.

Kanul, who heads a UK-based NGO, Borneo Rights International ( BRI ), said political parties especially those who claimed to be fighting for minority groups should be mindful of the fact that Christians are already under-represented, and the situation should not be made worse.

"I cannot keep silent when we are taken for granted... Malaysia however is a democratic country and anybody could stand for election, and here today i am seeking to be elected as your representative in Parliament," he told the community leaders.

For the first time ever, the opposition Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS) will be fielding a Christian for a seat in Johor, among the non-Muslim candidates that it plans to feature on its slate in the imminent polls.

PAS, known for its conservative Islamic ideology, is fielding Mr Hu Pang Chow, the head of its non-Muslim wing called PAS Supporters Congress, as a candidate for Ayer Hitam parliamentary seat in Johor

    1. GOOD TO POINT OUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PAS & UMNO.

PAS shows tolerance towards non-Muslim and treat them with equality and respect like any humans.

UMNO= Zero because it espouse a Nazi-like apartheid system which treats non-bumiputras as pendatangs and take away their rights.

Having said that we prefer Malayans of whatever religious or political beliefs to stay out of our Sabah.

We welcome co-operation with the sincere Malayans to throw out UMNO tyrannical dictatorship of 50 years in Sabah.

Yes we need each other to win this fight. But Sabahans can do their own thing. In any case the Malayan opposition does not have any numbers here unless they want to count in the illegals who are in UMNO's pocket. They just have no base. Why play in unfamiliar waters and drown?

THIS IS THE SCENARIO FOR CHANGE

We Sabahans can take back Sabah and we can give you the seats if you undertake to implement all our rights the 20 Points Agreement.

This involves restoring our control of oil and other resources and our finances, Borneonise with immediate effect on forming a new government- all listed in the 20 Points and not hard to do.

If you don't after a period we withdraw from the NEW government and declare Sabah independence.

You leave us with no choice.

IT IS A HYPOTHETICAL ALL PROGRESSIVE MALAYANS SHOULD PONDER OVER BEFORE MAY 5 2103.

Standing on a PAS ticket this parliamentary elections will not hamper the party’s only state Christian candidate’s chances of commanding the support of non-Muslim voters.

Ambrose La-bang Jamba who will be standing in Julau, said he had faith in the maturity of voters who were more concerned with the ongoing issues rather than the party’s religious background.

“They do not see PAS, DAP or PKR now. They see us and they think Pakatan Rakyat, so I don’t encounter any problem by standing under PAS ticket in the elections,” he said

“It is a party which believes in God and thus has good values. I am a God-fearing Christian and I walk along the same line. I believe PAS’ approach is based on religious guidance and that is why I am here.”

  3. Christians have been urged to take into account the candidates’ views on freedom of religion before voting in GE13.

National Evangelical Christian Fellowship Malaysia (NECF), it is stated that “freedom of religion” means the freedom to change one’s belief, and to manifest one’s faith in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

“A society is only free to the extent it respects the freedom of conscience, of expression and of religious liberty, especially of its minority groups. It is a contradiction if a society speaks of harmony and diversity with no regard for these freedoms,” NECF

    1. ARE WE SAYING WE SHOULD RESPECT CHRISTIAN BELIEFS?

THE MALAYAN CONSTITUTION MASQUERADING AS MALAYSIAN CONSTITUTION ALREADY GUARANTEE THIS.

THE 20 POINTS AGREEMENT GUARANTEE THIS.

ONLY UMNO & ITS GROUP OF TERRORISTS DO NOT!

WHY "TERRORISTS"- THEY THREATEN NON-MUSLIMS WITH KRIS TO "DEPORT PENDATANGS" WHO HAVE BEEN LONGER IN THE 3 COUNTRIES IN MALAYSIA THAN THEY HAVE BEEN, BURN CHURCHES, STARTED MAY 13 - KILLED & MAIMED OVER 40,OOO INNOCENTS IN MALAYA,BLOW UP MONGOLIAN LADY, KILL MANY INDIANS IN CUSTODY, THROW DETAINEES OF THE ROOF, SHOOT KIDS, IMPOVERISHED THE PEOPLE OF SABAH AND SARAWAK, COLONISED & PILLAGED SABAH SARAWAK OIL &OTHER RESOURCES, TREAT NON-BUMIPUTRAS UNEQUALLY AS IN APARTHEID SOUTH AFRICA, ESPOUSE NAZI RACIST IDEAS & SPONSOR TERRORISTS IN THE PHILIPPINES AND THAILAND.....LAST BUT NOT LEAST ENGAGING IN MASSIVE UNCHECKED CORRUPT PRACTICES AGAINST THEIR RELIGIOUS TEACHINGS...

WHAT RESPECT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A GOVERNMENT WHICH DOES ALL THESE BAD THINGS CONTRARY TO THEIR RELIGIOUS PRINCIPLES & BELIEFS?

OR DO THEY HAVE ANY RELIGIOUS PRINCIPLES AND BELIEFS COMPARED TO PAS?

  4. ECF called on Christians to vote for a government which serves the common good of all, ensure democratic space for the freedom of conscience, of expression and other human rights.

“As voters, we must elect those who will ensure that the conditions to live and express ourselves as human beings are guaranteed and safeguarded.
“It must foster public institutions that bring about the conditions for good and righteous living. These conditions are necessary if citizens are to live peacefully, harmoniously, and responsibly.
“There are many such conditions and they range from upholding the Rule of Law to establishing a proper democratic way. This includes free and fair elections and curbing abuse of power, corrupt practices and exploitation of the poor and marginalised people.”

In the booklet, it is said that in the Biblical worldview, all governments are provisional and delegated withauthority from God.
“They are therefore answerable to God in every decision and action they take,” it said.

  26. 1960 census
KADAZANSDUSUNS = 40% of total Sabah population
    "Malays"= .04%

    2013
    Kadazandusuns = 15%
    Instant Malays= 50%

By mathematical calculation, you need to root like rabbits to increase your numbers 3 million times in 50 years...from the 0.04%.

Mahathir despite his condemnation of the Malay "obsession" with sex could not make this happen even as a doctor. (Read the Malay Dilemma- no more banned).

So he just imported them by hiring terrorist group Abu Sayyaf to smuggle in a few million brothers from the Philippines plus more from Indonesia.

The foreign invasion scare to coerce us into Malaysia in 1963 finally HAPPEN. So Malaysia did not provide any "security" not even from the little Sulu invasion!

Islamic principles have been abused by the fake Muslims in UMNO who like Ibrahim Ali waves the kris like the Muslim terrorists overseas and want to blow up everyone who is non-Muslim.

We call on Ibrahim Ali to wear a "suicide jacket" to prove his beliefs and also all fake UMNO Muslim suckers in Sabah to do the same. They can demonstrate by taking a boat out to sea and meet their 72 70 year old virgins. PM Najib & Rosmah already used C4 on Mongolian lady and prove it works...

We say fake Muslims because real Muslims don't go around killing other Muslims as in Iraq and Afghanistan. UMNO Muslim leaders are fake because they do all the bad evil things like stealing from Sabah (penalty hands chopped of) adultery (get stoned not from pot but rocks) murder- (definitely beheading) and rape- (get castrated) and burning Churches- (no punishment).

Those who preach intolerance are not real Muslims. They can elect to migrate to Iraq or Afghanistan or Syria.

They also can all go to be closer with UMNO in Malaya.

UMNO fcuked up Sabah big time. They should all be castrated.

The best way to chop them off is by voting out this FOREIGN coloniser and all their hoodlum members.
